HSM (Homestay Steward International Certification) is an international professional qualification certification system, officially issued by the Stichting IPOE Education Foundation in the Netherlands.
In response to the growing popularity of both international and domestic tourism, homestays have become a favored accommodation choice for travelers worldwide. The Tourism Bureau of Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications has already established regulations for homestay facilities and hardware. However, as the importance of enhancing the professional competence of industry practitioners continues to rise, the Netherlands-based Stichting IPOE Education Foundation and the Innovation Technology Management Association (ITM Association) of Taiwan, together with local experts, scholars, and homestay associations across the country, are jointly promoting the Homestay Steward International Certification (HSM).
