This certification course begins with the historical context of sustainable development, aiming to make candidates understand that the concept of sustainable development did not arise by chance, but was formed through reflection during the course of human development. It has evolved from its initial stages into clear objectives, such as the critical Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the later, more comprehensive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The course is divided into three main parts: the past, present, and future of sustainable development; the 17 goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and actions and practices. These contents will help candidates comprehensively understand the holistic and systemic perspective of sustainable development.
